[Caloplaca crocea]

Caloplaca crocea (Krempelh.) Hafellner & Poelt

The genus Caloplaca comprises crustose lichens, which grow on various substrates. Many species have orange-coloured apothecia, which react K+ dark violet. C. crocea is unusual because its spores have two thickened septa.
