  • Systematics and phylogeny of Alismatales, especially Juncaginaceae
  • Taxonomy of vascular plants
  • Identification tools (Offene Naturführer, Species-ID)

Curriculum:

Studies of Biology with a focus on systematic and applied botany (Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena, 1996-1998; Universität Hamburg, 1998-2003); Diploma in Biology in 2003 (thesis: "Floral morphology and ontogeny of Matisia cordata (Malvaceae-Bombacoideae)"; Research assistant at the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz (2005-2009); Researcher in the EU project "Key to Nature" (2010); since 2011 at the BGBM (GBIF-D Coordination team).
