Abstract
Two new species of Taraxacum from Istria and adjacent islands, in the northeastern part of
the Mediterranean, are described as new and illustrated. Both belong to Taraxacum sect.
Erythrosperma and have a chromosome number of 2n = 3x = 24. Their known distribution is presented.
