Documentation:

New! Version 2.17 of the Berlin Model has been released in May 2006. The new version has a NameFact entity for linking arbitrary factual data to names comparable to the fact table for potential taxa. Additionally, there is a new attribute TreeIndex in PTaxon representing a search index for hierarchical taxonomic relations. With TreeIndex fast searching for entire taxonomic sub-trees is now possible.
