(Taurus und Pontisches Hochgebirge)", funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.
- Geobotany of SW Asia and the Mediterranean region, with a particular focus on the high
mountain flora and vegetation.
- Plant biodiversity of the Caucasus.
- Plant biodiversity in Mediterranean and Irano-Turanian ecosystems (vascular plants and
