Varicellaria velata (Turner) I. Schmitt & Lumbsch - Epiphytic and on volcanic rock. TLC: lichexanthone, lecanoric acids (3 specimens tested). The saxicolous specimens, nr. 63012 and 74803, have a thicker, warty thallus and agree with Pertusaria conglobata (Ach.) Th. Fr., nowadays considered a synonym of V. velata.
