1963-1969 Studies of biology, geography, philosophy and pedagogics at the Free University
in Berlin and at the Georg-August-University in Göttingen.
1970-1974 scientist collaborator at the pharmaceutical company of Schering AG, Berlin.
Since 1974 at the Botanical Garden and Museum Berlin-Dahlem, 1974- 1979 curator of the
Moss Herbarium, 1979 Dr.rer.nat at the FUB. 1980- 1987 Curator of the Herbarium of
Algae.1987-1998 on leave.
Since 1998 again Curator of the Moss Herbarium and Collaborator of the Department of
Biodiversity Informatics and Laboratories with the special field: Digital
Imaging, from 2002 the Department of Herbarium and Public Relations.
