Ramalina tingitana - On volcanic rock and epiphytic, the commonest epilithic species on Porto Santo. TLC: divaricatic acid, terpenoids (19 specimens tested). The specimens are morphologically like R. cupularis and R. bourgeana. However, they are different from both by their chemistry and their more or less striate thalli. Their ITS sequences show them to fall apart in two groups, a fertile morph of R. requienii and a chemotype of R. maderensis with divaricatic acid.
